The one-stop-shop, education delivery platform
Vumba is designed to amplify the impact of NGOs and educators. NGOs are the bridge between youth and large-scale change. By working directly with NGOs, Vumba brings conservation education to a collective network of millions of youth across Africa and beyond.
Why Us?
For the last eight years, GCC has run its own education initiative; the Future Rangers Program, aimed at directing youth into conservation careers. Vumba was created to address our own internal challenges; the lack of student tracking, understanding impact, and poor collaboration with partners. With over 10,000 students having gone through our program, we needed a way to track the shining stars, and to help guide them into employment opportunities. Our donors were unable to see the long term impact of their funding, and we were unable to prove our impact. This, in 2019, Vumba was born.
Vumba aims to create a world where education is equitable and employment is achievable. “Vumba” means “to shape or create” in Tsonga, the local language of the communities in which Vumba was founded. Vumba uniquely combines the education, conservation and technology sectors into one integrated solution enabling systems change, efficiency, and long-term impact.
