OUR STORY

Vumba was designed by the Global Conservation Corps (GCC), a non-profit organization based in the Greater Kruger region in South Africa. Seeking to measure the impact of our own environmental education program (Future Rangers), we developed a platform that would not only store quantitative data, but also capture the nuanced, unique experiences and learning journeys of our programme participants.

We soon noticed that many other NGOs in the region sought after the same monitoring, evaluation and learning tools. Hence, Vumba was born. Our goal is to offer our online platform to organizations seeking to measure their impact.

OUR VISION

We envision a world where education is equitable and employment is a reality. “Vumba” means “to shape or create” in Tsonga, the local language of the communities in which Vumba was founded. We aim to connect youth with transformative educational programmes, creating pathways for local businesses to hire top-performing, emerging talent.

Leaning into partnerships with other NGOs and educational institutions, Vumba aims to foster global, meaningful impact.
